British envoy keen for partnership in manufacturing sector with India

New Delhi, Sept 13 (ANI): British envoy to India said that there is scope for partnership in working towards developing both countries into manufacturing hubs. The British High Commissioner, James Bevan, paid a visit to Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra in New Delhi. After the meeting, Bevan said that Britain, too, attached a lot of importance to the MSME sector and added that he felt there is a lot of scope for partnership between the two countries in this sector. Mishra said that both of them had discussed about making India a manufacturing hub on the lines of 'Make in India, made in India' which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned during the Independence Day speech at the historic Red Fort on August 15. Bridge constructed by Army in Jammu brings respite to flood- hit area

Jammu, Sep 10 (ANI): The Army in Jammu built a temporary bridge linking flood- ravaged villages to the city, providing relief to the people after the region's worst floods for 50 years destroyed a number of key crossings and wreaked havoc in the area. Due to heavy floods the bridge on river Tawi was completely damaged. Nearly 45000 people living in about 45 villages in the surrounding area were cut off from the city. The Army and Air Force dropped relief material in the area, while Army boats helped people to commute to the other side of the river. Brigadier P K Mishra said that the Army has constructed a temporary bridge on the river Tawi and named it 'Rahat Setu' meaning bridge of relief. Sep 10, 2014

Central govt deploys additional forces in strife-torn Manipur

Imphal, Sep 06 (ANI): NDA government deployed additional forces in strife torn northeastern Manipur state in wake of the road blockade called by a Naga group. Home Ministry rushed additional forces to assist the local administration and a top official to take stock of the rising tension. The additional paramilitary forces were sent to Manipur to be deployed along the national and state highways to ensure law and order in the state. Earlier, Rajnath Singh had reviewed the situation with Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and discussed preventive measures to ameliorate hardship of the people of Manipur. At least 4 killed and 12 injured in Noida road accident

Noida, Sep 01 (ANI): Four employee of Motherson company, a private firm based in Noida were killed and over 12 injured when a bus carrying them collided with a truck in Sector 71 of Noida on Monday. The injured were immediately rushed to the nearest hospitals. Doctor said that a few are serious while others can be released on an immediate basis. The accident took place early in the morning when the victims were on their way to the Motherson company. One of the injured said that the truck collided straight on to the bus and that both the drivers didn’t pay attention. New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): Controversial BJP MP Yogi Adityanath is among three BJP leaders who would be campaigning for the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Adityanath, who is currently facing charges of inciting communal tension in Gorakhpur in 2007, was handed over the charge by party chief Amit Shah.
