Wagah border attack a serious internal security challenge, could have been on Indian side too: Secur

New Delhi, Nov 03 (ANI): Security Expert Uday Bhaskar on Monday termed the suicide attack at Pakistan side of Wagah border as a serious internal security challenge for India. He said the fact that assailants can reach at such sensitive area says that proper vigil and increase in arrangements for security is required on both sides. He also pointed out at the possibility of India too being on the radar of such attacks. Bhaskar said that India would have to acquire the capacity for surveillance on both side of the border after the incident. At least 55 people lost their lives and several were left injured when an explosion took place on Pakistan side of Wagah border just after a daily ceremony when troops from both sides simultaneously lower the two nations' flags. Navy Chief to visit Kenya

New Delhi, Nov 02 (ANI): Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral RK Dhowan, is scheduled to visit Kenya to consolidate defence relations with the Indian Ocean Region country. The Navy Chief will be on a five-day visit to Kenya beginning today. India and Kenya have enjoyed historical maritime linkages since many centuries. The Navy Chief's visit will not only cement existing maritime linkages, but will also explore avenues to build more bridges of friendship. New Delhi, Oct 22 (ANI): Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan, said in New Delhi that the country is fully equipped to tackle Ebola threat as the surveillance system has been geared up to track travellers and monitor for symptoms. Vardhan said that the government will also set up facilities at airports and ports to manage travellers showing symptoms of the disease. Signs range from fever and intense weakness to internal and external bleeding and the incubation period is two to 21 days. Indian army recovers Pakistan made landmine in Kashmir

Rajouri, Oct 15 (ANI): The Indian army on Wednesday recovered a Pakistan made landmine along the de-facto Line of Control (LoC) border in Rajouri district of Kashmir. Indian Army Official, Colonel Harpreet Singh, said that their surveillance team detected a suspected woman near the line of control (LoC) and when she was challenged, she left behind a bag in which the explosives were recovered.
