Mumbai, Oct 30 (ANI): Convicted Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt returned to Yerawada Central Jail in Pune on Wednesday after his four-week-long medical parole ended. Sanjay Dutt, was released from jail on furlough for 14 days on October 1. Later, he sought an extension which was granted to him for another fortnight. Accordingly, this year, Dutt will spend the Diwali festival in the jail with other inmates. Dutt was sentenced to five years' jail for illegal possession of firearms from one of the consignments that landed ahead of the March 12, 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai. Oct 30, 2013

Sanjay Dutt gets 14 day parole extension

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Actor Sanjay Dutt, who was out on parole due to medical reasons, was granted a 14-day extension of his leave of furlough, according to jail authorities. Dutt sough an extension in the furlough on medical grounds. The 53-year-old actor was was sentenced for five years jail, after his conviction for illegal possession of arms in the Mumbai blasts case and is to serve the remaining 42 months of his sentence. New Delhi, Oct 12 (ANI): The regal baton of Queen Elizabeth II for the 2014 Commonwealth Games arrived in India after its grand launch from the Buckingham Palace earlier this week. It was ceremoniously received in New Delhi. The gala event would be held at Glasgow in Scotland from July 23 to August 3, 2014. Media reports said that 53-year-old Dutt, who is currently lodged in Pune's Yerawada jail, has been given this benefit to be able to spend some time with his family. He is currently serving a 42-month sentence in connection with the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case. Dutt is reportedly said to be experiencing pain because of blood clots in his legs.
