ABVP protests over repeated parole granted to Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai, Dec 27 (ANI): Supporters of the youth wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested outside jailed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's residence in Mumbai to oppose the grant of repeated paroles to the actor. Dutt has been convicted under Arms Act for possessing illegal firearms. On December 21, Sanjay Dutt was let out of the prison on a month long parole after he filed an application citing his wife Manyata's illness, although media reported that she was seen attending social events. Reportedly, Manyata has been diagnosed with a tumour in the liver and a suspected heart ailment. Earlier, the 53-year-old actor had also availed a month-long furlough on medical grounds in October. Mumbai, Dec 07 (ANI): A day after Sanjay Dutt was granted parole for 30 days considering his wife Manyata Dutt’s illness, former IPS officer YP Singh said that Manyata is not ill and that she is attending premiers and that the concerned commissioner who granted the parole should be put under suspension and an enquiry should be called over the same. Further, he said that there has to proper enquiry on the reasons of filing a parole request proving which is the way to get the same.
