Mumbai, Dec 06 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with his cabinet ministers paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Babasahib Dr BR Ambedkar at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Fadnavis offered flowers and lit candles in front of Ambedkar's statue on his 'Mahaparinirvana Diwas'. He also acknowledged Dr Ambedkar's work to uplift the backward and downtrodden in independent India. PM Modi pays tribute to BR Ambedkar on 'Mahaparinirwan Diwas'

New Delhi, Dec 06 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to Dr.BR Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvana Diwas. PM Modi paid floral tributes to Ambedkar outside the Parliament where a event is organized in respect and memory of the architect of the Indian Constitution. President Pranab Mukherjee along with Vice President Hamid Ansari also offered flowers to the statue of Ambedkar. Present at the occasion was also senior BJP leader LK Advani, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh among others. Earlier, PM Modi tweeted saying, "On his Mahaparinirvana Diwas, I bow to the venerable Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. His contribution to the Nation is eternal and invaluable. Congress stages protest outside Parliament against 'NDA government's U-turn policies'

New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi along with other party leaders staged protest outside Parliament on Tuesday over NDA government's 'U-turn' policies. Gandhi said that the party will keep protesting against the present government's policies. He alleged that the government had taken U-turns on a total of 25 issues in their 6 months of governance. Carrying the booklet that the party released on Monday over the issue, party leaders like Jyotiraditya Scindia and Veerappa Moily accompanied Gandhi in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue outside the Parliament. Milkha Singh flags off marathon in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (ANI): Former track and field sporting legend, Milkha Singh on Sunday (November 30) flagged off the 12th Hyderabad 10K marathon in Hyderabad with national and international athletes participating in the event. The marathon is organised every year by Hyderabad 10K Foundation, one of a major sporting events in India where thousands gather to celebrate unity and uphold their view of a happy, healthy living in the city. Singh was the brand ambassador of the event. The foundation was founded in 2003 with an objective of bringing the city together irrespective of the socio-economic status of the people and promotes health, fitness and sports among the people. More than 1500 people participated in the run. The marathon had four categories- International, National, Amateur and last for Senior Citizens as well. Nov 30, 2014
