Mumbai, June 08 (ANI): Aashiqui 2 star Shradha Kapoor who is all set to hit the screens once again with her upcoming film Ek Villain has something more to offer this time. As the new bee will not just be seen acting but will also woo the audience with her melodious voice. Shraddha who has sung a song name galiyan in the film is already topping the chart busters and the actor is quite happy with the response. Shradha who was on an interactive session with the media along with director Mohit Suri to promote the film even sang few lines from the song. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Ek Villain is an upcoming romantic-thriller starring Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles with Riteish Deshmukh as an antagonist. Mumbai Metro runs into technical glitch on first day

Mumbai, June 8 (ANI): The first day of Mumbai Metro did not turn out to be too smooth both for the Maharashtra Government and the citizens of the maximum city as the services ran into a technical problem. The metro train flagged off by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan early this morning was stalled for about 30 minutes at the Jagriti Nagar station due to a technical problem. Some of the trains are now packed with passengers as it is stranded at the stations en route. The trains also halted for five to ten minutes at Saki Naka station before heading for Versova, where it reached 20-30 minutes late, thereby affecting the frequency of trains on the reverse route. The Metro service was inaugurated by Chavan from the Versova station and was accompanied by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) Chairman Anil Ambani. Jun 8, 2014

Prithivraj Chavan flags off Mumbai Metro

Mumbai, June 8 (ANI): Maharashtra CM Prithivraj Chavan on Sunday inaugurated the much-awaited Mumbai Metro that promises to cater to lakhs of commuters per day on the 11-km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route. Reliance Industries head Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani were amongst the early riders. Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL) is a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure, French firm Veolia Transport and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). While Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Infra, which is the execution agency, owns a 69 per cent stake in the project, the state-run MMRDA and Veolia hold 26 per cent and 5 per cent stake respectively. Mumbai, June 07 (ANI): The much anticipated Mumbai metro will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan Sunday morning. This is India's first metro railway project implemented on a public-private partnership model by a consortium headed by RInfra since 2007, at a total cost of around Rs.4,300 crore. Accordingly, from Sunday the 11.4 km long Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar east-west corridor with 12 elevated stations en route will run from 5.30 a.m. till midnight at a speed of 80 kmph. Defence Minister Arun Jaitley visits Western Naval

Mumbai, June 07 (ANI): Defence Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday visited Western Naval Command to review the operational preparedness. Jaitley may get to see the salvaged INS Sindhurakshak submarine during his visit, which had sunk on August 14 last year after an explosion. During his visit to the Western Command, Jaitley will also commission two fast-attack craft ICGS Achook and ICGS Agrim, of the Indian Coast Guard. This is Jaitley's maiden visit as Defence Minister.
