Autumn season draws tourists to Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 16 (ANI): Tourists flocked Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday to enjoy autumn season in the valley as fallen crimson Chinar leaves covered streets. Dotted with Chinar trees mainly, Kashmir adores a unique look during this season as the leaves turn red before they fall. Director of Floriculture department Sunil Mishra said tourists flock Kashmir during this season as they love to experience sound of fallen leaves as one walks on it. The tourism industry has again picked up after the worst flooding, which hit the state in September, as tourists from across the world have started visiting the valley. Kashmir is considered as one of the best tourism destinations in the country with the hospitality of the valley well-known that adds to the popularity of the tourism sector. Nov 16, 2014

Sterilization program is demand driven and not target driven: JP Nadda on Bilaspur incident

New Delhi, Nov 14 (ANI): Health Minister JP Nadda on Friday while commenting on the Bilaspur sterilization camp incident said that sterilization program is demand driven program and not target driven program. He added that after the request of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, a team of AIIMS doctors was sent to Chhattisgarh to examine the patients. He further assured that the centre will provide all the required assistance to the Chhattisgarh government. Harsh Vardhan motivates Delhi to 'walk for health'

New Delhi, Nov 09 (ANI): Union Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan, motivated Delhi to 'walk for health' as he flagged off the third edition of walkathon on Sunday (November 09) in the national capital. The event began early in the morning from the India Gate in New Delhi. The health minister said walking regularly helps to restore life balance, makes people calmer, happier and more positive towards life. The youth today are more under pressure and stress and need to focus on a healthy lifestyle, simple walking can pave the way for one, he said. A number of celebrities, corporate brands and TV networks participated in the event to add to the buzz and energy. CEO of Max Bupa, Manasije Mishra said that this initiative aims to encourage people to have a healthy lifestyle by integrating walking in their daily schedule. Max Bupa Health Insurance Company has organised this health event called 'Max Bupa Walk for Health' in association with news channel 'Times Now'.
