Where on one hand Naqvi considered Azam Khan's ban decision correct on the other he condemned the comparison of speeches by Azam Khan and Amit Shah. Naqvi stated that Khan had said something condemnable which tried to divide society but Shah's statements cannot be compared to Khan's. Lucknow/ Moradabad, April 12 (ANI): Election Commission (EC) of India banned SP leader Azam Khan and BJP General Secretary Amit Shah from addressing any public rallies after they made "highly inflammatory speeches" during election campaigns. Country's independent election body also ordered the authorities to register FIR against the two politicians and initiate criminal proceedings. New Delhi, April 11 (ANI): The Election Commission on Friday directed the West Bengal Director General of Police to immediately arrest all persons named in an FIR for beating up poll personnel in the state and send the compliance report by evening. Apart from those named in the FIR, the EC has also ordered the arrest of the organiser of the motor bike rally during which the incident occurred. The attack reportedly occurred when the officials tried to stop a two-wheeler rally of the TMC as such rallies have been banned by the poll panel.
