New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): Opposition parties, including the Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Janata Dal staged a protest against the government outside the Parliament on Monday over the black money issue. Meanwhile, the TMC also staged a separate protest against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in front of Mahatma Gandhi's statue in the Parliament. Tamchon Football Tournament attracts many spectators in New Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 18 (ANI): Thousands of football lovers from the national capital flooded the Dr Ambedkar stadium in Delhi to witness the closing ceremony of the eighth Tamchon Football tournament. A total of 16 teams, comprising of players from the northeast, participated in the tournament to promote peace, friendship and unity among the youth of the country. The final match between Hmar FC and Siamsinpawlpi (SSPP) attracted a large crowd. The event was organized under the aegis of Tanghkul Naga Society, Delhi with support from various government and private agencies. Such events help to make Delhi'ites aware of sporting talent from the Northeast. Hmar FC won by 6-5 over SSPP by penalty goal. The winning team received the winning Trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh while the SSPP FC bagged the runners-up trophy with a cash prize of Rs 3 Lakh. Dec 18, 2014

Kanye West plans to build Kim K's statue in iconic Grace Jones pose

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): Kanye West to capture Kim Kardashian's butt and is planning to build a statue of her in Grace Jones' famous pose from 1978. The rapper, 37, posted the iconic image in one of his first posts on Kanyewest.com, however, this isn't the first time West's lover would be recreating the pose as his former girlfriend Amber Rose has also struck the same pose in 2010, a leading daily reported. Rose has posed for Complex magazine, but even though the image never made it into the final edition, West had published it on his blog. According to the reports, West has said that he wants to capture his wife's beauty for eternity, and wants it on their bedroom wall. Sports community in Kolkata protests over Madan Mitra's arrest

Kolkata, Dec 15 (ANI): Sportspersons and enthusiasts held demonstrations against arrest of West Bengal Sports Minister Madan Mitra, in connection with multi-billion investment scam in Kolkata city. Hundreds of sporting personalities joined the protest where supporters of Mitra shouted slogans against CBI and BJP. The protesters burnt effigy of Modi and blocked traffic in different areas of Kolkata city. Former Indian footballer, Gautam Sarkar, said Mitra was an unparallel personality and his arrest was causing a great harm to sports and cultural sectors of the state. The Bengal sportspersons and enthusiasts have decided to continue their sit-in at a dais near the statue of former footballer Gostha Behari Paul until Mitra is released. Dec 15, 2014
