Bhupinder Singh Hooda addresses rally in Sonipat

Samalkha, Oct 12 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday addressed a rally in Samalkha area of Sonipat in Haryana. Hooda slammed the BJP for making false promises in the Lok Sabha elections regarding security at international borders. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's all promises regarding Pakistan and China have turned false because both the neighbouring countries are violating norms of the borders. Hooda also said that after he became the Chief Minister the amount of pension has been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 1000 and promised to increase it to Rs 1500 from November onwards. He then appealed to the people for votes and said that if Congress' government is formed for the third time in Haryana, the state will see more progress. Oct 12, 2014

New Delhi, Oct 11 (ANI): Following the order of events in INLD Chief Om Prakash Chautala's case, he said on Saturday that if the Court asks him to surrender today he will do so. Chautala said that he has not been given any directions by the Court not to attend or address any public gathering and blamed the BJP for pressurizing CBI to frame him. Chautala said that the BJP is on the verge of loosing elections in Haryana due to which it is trying to defame him. He added that INLD is sure to get 2-3rd majority in the state so it does not need support from any other political party. Agartala/ Siliguri, Oct 05 (ANI): State authorities in Tripura and West Bengal have enforced strict pollution norms in reference to idol immersion for Hindu festival Durga Puja, so as to control pollution level in the water bodies. The municipal bodies have asked their staff, with the help of volunteers, to carry out cleaning process soon after the idols are immersed in the river. Hindu festival Durga Puja celebrates the victory of good over evil. The festival culminates with the immersion of the Durga idols into water bodies. Meanwhile, the municipal body in Siliguri city of West Bengal has also made similar arrangements to keep the rivers clean. He said that all educational institutions should be under government and under the same norms and that madarsas should not be given right to impart such education to the kids.
