New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): Hindu Mahasabha will be installing statues of Nathuram Godse, assassin of Mahatma Gandhi, in four districts of Karnataka on the death anniversary of Gandhi. President of Karnataka unit of Hindu Mahasabha Swami Pranavananda Giri said that the organisation demands from the Central government to replace Mahatma Gandhi’s image from currency notes by images of patriotic leaders like Maharana Pratap or Godse. He added that the Congress government has named roads and paths after names of Tipu Sultan and other leaders, so it should also be done after Godse’s name as a mark of respect. Jan 8, 2015

Making a strong pitch for unity among Hindus, Bhagwat said that if the Hindu society is in danger, then the entire country is also in danger. Congress leader Manish Tewari said that the RSS is doing all it can under the BJP government which can divide the nation. NCP leader Majid Memon said that is Bhagwat thinks that he is the prime minister and can do anything he desires, he is wrong. JD (U) also condemned the RSS chief and said that he should realize that he does not have any political accountability. PM Modi to visit Varanasi today for 'Good Governance Day'

New Delhi, Dec 25 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Thursday to observe ' Good Governance Day ' on the birthday of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Prime Minister will also be visiting Banaras Hindu University to garland the statue of Bharat Ratna winner, educationist, great social worker and freedom fighter Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya on his birth anniversary and then will drive to Assi Ghat to inspect cleanliness programme started by him during his previous visit to Varanasi. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the visit. Members of Angami tribe pulling heavy stones was one of the major attractions during the recently concluded 14th Hornbill festival Kisama Naga heritage village near Kohima. A large number of domestic and foreign tourists, who gathered at the 10-day long gala event, were enthralled by traditional sports, folk dances and ethnic food. Events like a "Chilli" eating competition were the major crowd puller. The winner took away the cash prize of Rs. 20,000. The visitors also enjoyed body tattoo art as two international tattoo artists Heiko Gantenberg from Germany and Mo Naga from Nagaland shared a common platform at the festival.
