SP government orders CBI probe in Mohanlalganj rape case

Lucknow, July 29 (ANI): The state government-led by Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh agreed to demands of the family of the Mohanlalganj rape and murder victim and ordered a CBI probe in the same. Family of the woman began a fast unto death protest on Sunday demanding a CBI probe into the incident citing dissatisfaction with police report. The police had said that there were no traces of rape before murder and only one person was involved in the crime. SP leader Naresh Agarwal said they had written to CBI to conduct an inquiry.
