Former Railway Minister terms Rail Budget as 'disappointing'

Chandigarh, Feb 26 (ANI): Former Railway Minister, Pawan Bansal on Thursday termed the Rail Budget presented by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu as ‘disappointing’. Bansal said that he was expecting reduction in fares as fuel prices have been slashed in the past few months. He added that there was no vision to increase employment or reduce poverty through employment in railways. Kashmir dances to its first internet android radio channel

Srinagar, Feb 17 (ANI): The first android-based radio FM channel in Jammu and Kashmir is bringing in more listeners day by day. City FM JK was started in December 2014 by 28-year old mass communication graduate, Tariq Ahmad Salfi, and aimed specifically at the local audience. The radio station in Srinagar operates from a small room equipped with modest equipment like laptops and the odd sound mixer. But days after it was launched, Salfi was informed by his technical team that City FM JK radio waves had even penetrated other countries including the UK., US., Austria and Russia. Salfi has sold his car and invested a lot of his money in his humble project, one he says may be fast becoming at par with radio channels of business tycoons. He says his channel can also be an opportunity for employment in the valley. Despite poor internet connectivity in Kashmir, his local audience has grown; many claim his channel stands apart. Asim Ahmed Khan will look after food and civil supply, environment and forest, and election departments. Jitender Singh Tomar will be in charge of law and justice, home, tourism, art and culture. Satyendar Jain will take care of Power Ministry, health, industries, PWD and IFC. Sisodia will look after finance and planning, education, UD, revenue and any other department that is not allocated to any minister. Kejriwal will be focusing to make the Ministry work effectively and supervise their work, to make changes in system making use of modern technologies, and to connect directly with people of Delhi.
