Surat, Feb 20 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monogrammed pinstriped suit on Friday was bought by Surat-based Diamond merchant Laljibhai Patel as the bidding closed at 4 crores and 31 lakhs. Dharmanandan Diamonds Chairman Laljibhai Patel after winning the suit said that he will keep the suit in our office as a reminder of the noble cause he took part in. Reportedly, the monogrammed bandhgala is worth Rs 10 lakh. Modi had worn the suit during his meeting with the US President Barack Obama. Surat/ New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): The bidding for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's controversial suit that bears his name in gold pinstripes and which he wore at a meeting with Barack Obama touched a new high on Thursday. Komal Kant Sharma, CMD, Leela Group of Companies, a chain of luxury hotels, in Bhavnagar, bid rupees 14.1 million (1.41 crore) for the suit. The tailored suit is being auctioned in Gujarat to raise money for a project he is championing to clean the Ganges river. The auction ends on Friday.
