BSE closes points 12.76 down on March 25

New Delhi, March 25 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 12.76 points down to stand at 22,042.72. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty 6.25 points up to stand at 6,589.75. Dish TV India and Ashok Leyland were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 6.24% and 5.97% along with Apollo Tyres and Container Corp with an increase of 5.87% and 5.85% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Pipavav Defence and Indian Bank with a decrease of 3.02% and 2.88% along with Oberoi Realty and RIL with a decrease of 2.87% and 2.87% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 40.62 points at 12,929.12 while the banking sector is up 40.22 points at 14,220.05 and the realty sector is up 18.09 points at 1,394.04. AAP expels two party members on charges of corruption

New Delhi, March 21 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday expelled two party members on charges of corruption. Awadh Convenor Aruna Singh and Hardoi Treasurer Ashok Kumar were expelled allegedly for promising tickets in exchange for bribes. New Delhi, March 11 (ANI): In another blow to Aam Aadmi Party ahead of 2014 general elections, party’s National Executive Member Ashok Agarwal resigned from the party and said that AAP is promoting elite people over common man. He said that he was unhappy with the ticket distribution process and said that the focus of the party deviated from the interests of the common man. Supreme Court extends Subrata Roys police custody

New Delhi, March 04 (ANI): Sahara Group Chief Subrata Roy will remain in police custody till Tuesday next, when the case will be heard again, said Supreme Court. While ordering the custody of Roy, the court, however, clarified that it was not an order on contempt. Two more directors of the company, Ravi Shankar Dubey and Ashok Roy Chaudhary were also ordered to be taken into custody. The court said that it was not happy with the proposal of Sahara on refund of money as “they have not come up with any concrete proposal and bank guarantee.” Earlier, Roy apologised to the Supreme Court for his failure to comply with the order to appear before it.
