Mumbai, Nov 26 (ANI): India is observing the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks that shook the entire nation in 2008 when gunmen stormed prime hotels and city landmarks killing more than 160 people and wounding many more. In Mumbai, six years after the 2008 terror attacks that left the entire nation devastated, residents now say they are ready to face any hurdle. Many were gathered outside Mumbai's iconic Gateway of India to light candles and commemorate those who lost their lives in the attacks. Meanwhile, politicos stated that the government had taken a lot of effort to step up security after 2008. New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): On the 6th anniversary of the Mumbai terror attacks Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday saluted the security personnel who laid down their lives protecting others during the terror attacks and also paid tribute to the victims and martyrs. "We remember the horrific terror attacks in Mumbai on this day in 2008 and pay homage to the innocent men and women who lost their lives. We salute the brave security personnel who laid down their lives to protect several lives on that fateful day. They are our true heroes," Prime Minister Modi tweeted. "Today is a day to reaffirm our commitment to work together to combat the menace of terror and uproot it from the face of humankind," he added.
