UGC member alleges interference by HRD Ministry, Reactions flow

New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Member of University Grants Commission (UGC), MM Ansari alleged excessive interference by the education ministry in the activities of the body. These statements come at a time when Education Ministry decided to drop German language in favour of Sanskrit for over 70,000 students across 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) from classes VI to VIII. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said Ansari was making such statements on behalf of the Congress party.
