Aviation minister doesnt rule out privatisation for Air India

New Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): Union Civil Aviation Minister, Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati, does not deny rumours of privatisation of national carrier, Air India, which has been struggling to stay in the air in the past few years. At a news conference in New Delhi on Monday (November 10), Pusapati said the future of the national carrier, which is dependent on taxpayer cash, was a matter of great concern for the country and hinted that suggestions for its privatisation were being considered. Visakhapatnam police arrest professor for allegedly supplying explosives to Maoists

Visakhapatnam, Nov 06 (ANI): Police in Visakhapatnam city of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, arrested a professor of a state-run university for allegedly supplying explosives to Maoists. According to media reports, Professor J Apparao, who teaches in Telugu Department at the Andhra University, had long been a tribal activist. He allegedly had links with the Communist Party of India (Maoists) and other rebels. Police officials arrested Apparao from his residence in wee hours on Thursday. Students and staff members of the university staged protests outside the office of Superintendent of Police, Visakhapatnam, K Praveen, demanding his release. Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University, Professor GSN Raju said that some people on the campus had warned him of his alleged involvement in suspicious activities.
