Retired colonel Tim Collins claims no decency in Afghan war crime investigation

Former Colonel Tim Collins said there is no decency in the independent policing unit set up to investigate allegations of war crimes against British soldiers in Afghanistan. Col. Collins said the investigation, which the Ministry of Defence said had so far received almost 600 complaints relating to 150 indivduals, was a waste of time and money. He also said soldiers need to be afforded the protections of civilian workers - such as a trade union - if they are going to be subject to civilian-level scrutiny whilst in a theatre of war.
