Jammu, Jan 06 (ANI): After Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi confirmed that Sunanda Pushkar's death was not natural and that she was poisoned, he cousin Ashok Kumar said that they always knew that it was a case of murder. He said that the delay in the case was because Congress government never allowed a fair probe to be carried out in the case. Kumar said that Sunanda was a lively person and could not have committed suicide and that truth will come out gradually with time. He also demanded justice for his sister. Jan 6, 2015

At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 17.05 points down to stand at 8,378.40. ASHOK LEYLAND LTD. and GSPL were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.96% and 7.75% along with VA TECH WABAG LTD. and UNITECH with an increase of 5.67% and 4.60% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include IRB and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS LTD. with a decrease of 6.96% and 6.52% along with RattanIndia Power Limited and PMCFIN with a decrease of 4.97% and 4.95% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 213.82 points at 19,050.97 while the banking sector is down 54.98 points at 21,775.12 and the reality sector is up 3.51 points at 1,575.41. New Delhi, Dec 28 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Sunday after Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) Raghunath K. Shevgaonkar resigned two years before the completion of his term. According to the media reports, the resignation came due to tremendous pressure from the ministry, which wanted to lend IIT ground to cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for opening a cricket academy. IIT Alumni Association Secretary CK Jain said that it is very unfortunate that government is trying to take IIT under it. IIT Alumni Association former President Subodh Jindal requested the government to take the director’s resignation back. Politicos react after another BJP leader caught on video tape using threatening words

Jaipur, Dec 21 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Sunday after another BJP leader was caught on a video tape using threatening words. The video showed BJP MLA from Ladpura in Kota, Bhawani Singh Rajawat, wooing and threatening voters during the recent local bodies’ elections. State BJP President Ashok Parnami, reacting over the incident, said that he has no knowledge of any such video and incase any such surfaces then investigation will be carried out in the matter and appropriate action will be taken. Kolkata, Dec 19 (ANI): IAS officer Ashok Khemka who had over two years back cancelled mutation of the land deal between Robert Vadra's company and DLF, on Friday said that he was charge sheeted on the basis of the committee's report which was constituted by the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government to probe the matter. He added that the committee was constituted with prime objective to give a clean chit to Vadra's licensing transaction. He further stated that when he gave an application to State Information Commission to provide the relevant notings to him, he was informed that the notings have been detached from the file.
