Veteran CPI leader Govind Pansare passes away

Mumbai, Feb 21 (ANI): Veteran Communist leader Govind Pansare (84) who was shot last Monday in Kolhapur died at Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. Pansare who had suffered a head injury succumbed to his illness shortly around midnight. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis reached Breach Candy hospital. Govind Pansare was flown to Mumbai from Kolhapur where he was being treated at a private hospital on Friday in air ambulance. The mortal remains of the CPI leader are brought to the airport following his demise and will be flown top Kolhapur for last rites. Meanwhile, Leader of Republican Party of India, Ramdas Athawale paid glowing tributes to late leader and demanded stringent action against the culprits. Feb 21, 2015

100 Indian women to sky dive in Australia to create record

Mumbai, Feb 21 (ANI): In a bid to empower women, 100 Indian women would visit Australia to do tandem skydiving and scuba diving, also attempting to create a record. The women will visit Gold Coast, Brisbane, Australia from April 16-24 under the guidance of Skydiver Shital Mahajan, who has won Padma Shree, and holds 14 national and eight international records. Addressing mediapersons in Mumbai, Mahajan announced that her skydiving academy will be training 100 women participants to popularise the sport and also for women empowerment.
