New Delhi, Jan 25 (ANI): Indian Air Force Wing Commander Pooja Thakur who was commanding the inter-services Guard of Honour for US President Barack Obama at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Sunday said that it was a very proud moment for her. She added that the women officers are provided training similar to the male officers. US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama arrived in India for a three day visit. Obama will be the Chief Guest at Republic Day celebrations this year on the invite of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Patna, Jan 23 (ANI): While addressing a rally in Patna city of Bihar, BJP Chief Amit Shah tried to woo people of the state by remembering former chief minister of Bihar Karpoori Thakur and slamming Nitish Kumar. Shah on Friday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government has set an example for the previous and coming governments as to how a government should function. He also said that Kumar ruined the state after he parted away from the JD (U) for his selfish interests. Shah is on a two-day visit to Bihar, his first since assuming office in July last year. Shah is scheduled to meet party workers tomorrow with an aim to recruit 75 lakh members for the party by March 31. A three-day membership drive will also be reportedly organised by the booth level workers next month. The assembly elections in Bihar are scheduled for later this year. Jan 23, 2015
