Karnataka/New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): Congress protesters took to streets on Thursday (August 28) in Karnataka and demanded the dismissal of Railway Minister, DV Sadananda Gowda, post rape and cheating allegation by a woman against his son. The woman, who is a small-time model and actress, complained to the police that she was married to the minister's son, Karthik, who got engaged to another woman. Youth Congress party activist, TP Sampat said Prime Minister, Narendra Modi should take action in the case and demand justice for the victim. HJC breaks alliance with BJP, says it is a cheater party

Chandigarh, Aug 28 (ANI): The Haryana Janhit Congress party on Thursday broke its three years old alliance with the BJP claiming that BJP has always cheated the regional party. HJC President Kuldeep Singh Bishnoi said that the BJP has a record of cheating its alliance parties which is why the HJC has a written alliance with it, with a hope that it may change its attitude. Bishnoi added that BJP tried to look down upon HJC several times; still it tried to behave well in order to save the alliance. Case registered against Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda's son, politicos demand thorough probe

New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): A Bangalore based model has filed a case against Karthik Gowda, son of Union Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda, under section 420, 376 and 406 (charges relating to cheating and dishonesty) of the Indian Penal Code. The model claims that she got married to Karthik Gowda on June 5, 2014 after meeting him on May 8, 2014. The model also said that she wanted his family to accept her as their daughter-in-law. Gowda, however, refuted the allegations saying that since the news came right after his son Karthik Gowda’s engagement, it raises suspicion. Kannada actress claims to be wife of Railway Minister Gowda's son, asks family to accept her

Bangalore, Aug 28 (ANI): A Kannada actress has claimed that she is married to Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda's son Karthik and demanded that the Minister's family accept her as their daughter-in-law. Talking to mediapersons in Bangalore, the woman named Maithreya said that she met Karthik while her family was looking for a groom and on 05 June 2014 they both tied the knot. Maithreya further claimed that they both knew each other since 8 May 2014 and became very good friends, following which Karthik married her. Meanwhile, a case of rape was registered against Karthik. The case has been booked against Karthik under sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code. Aug 28, 2014
