New Delhi, Jan 26 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee presented the prestigious Ashok Chakra award to the families of Major Mukund Varadarajan and Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh on the 66th Republic Day here on Monday. The Republic Day celebrations started with the unfurling of the national flag by the President. Thereafter, the national anthem was played and President Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Barack Obama and Vice President Hamid Ansari and other dignitaries paid respect to the tri-coloured flag. The Ashok Chakra award, which was conferred to Major Mukund Varadarajan and Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh posthumously, is given for the 'most conspicuous bravery or some daring or pre-eminent valour or self-sacrifice' other than in the face of the enemy. New Delhi, Jan 9 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 183.67 points up to stand at 27,458.38. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 49.90 points up to stand at 8,284.50. VIDEOCON INDUSTRIES LTD and PIPAVAVDOC were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 19.99% and 7.69% along with Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd. and HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LTD with an increase of 5.96% and 5.94% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include PMCFIN and ASHOK LEYLAND LTD with a decrease of 4.98% and 3.85% along with NTPC and DLF with a decrease of 3.31% and 3.26% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 6.34 points at 18,835.27 while the banking sector is down 67.25 points at 21,346.24 and the reality sector is down 21.55 points at 1,531.95. Always knew it was case of murder: Sunanda Pushkar's Cousin demanding justice

Jammu, Jan 06 (ANI): After Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi confirmed that Sunanda Pushkar's death was not natural and that she was poisoned, he cousin Ashok Kumar said that they always knew that it was a case of murder. He said that the delay in the case was because Congress government never allowed a fair probe to be carried out in the case. Kumar said that Sunanda was a lively person and could not have committed suicide and that truth will come out gradually with time. He also demanded justice for his sister. Jan 6, 2015
