LOS ANGELES It was an evening of song and celebration at the 14th annual National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund raiser benefitting cancer research. Host Allison Janney posed for pics along with other celebs attending including Alicia Witt, Jason Ritter, Bellamy Young, Loretta Devine & Alexis Carra. It was a very good day for ‘Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ as the movie held its L.A. premiere. Stars of the family comedy, Steve Carell & Jennifer Garner were on hand for the festivities along with co-stars Bella Thorne, Dylan Minnette, Kerris Dorsey & Jennifer Coolidge. ‘Whiplash’ a film set in the cutthroat world of Jazz music also held its Los Angeles premiere. Star Miles Teller, a trained musician himself, appeared in support of the movie along with cast members, Melissa Benoist, Paul Reiser and J. K. Simmons who plays a teacher that you would have nightmares about. NEW YORK The 52nd New York Film Festival continued with the world premiere of ‘Inherent Vice’. The new Paul Thomas Anderson film, a crime drama set in the early 70’s, brought out its stars for the gala night. Joaquin Phoenix, Owen Wilson, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Katherine Waterston, Maya Rudolph & Jena Malone were all on hand. That’s all for Oct 8, 2014

LOS ANGELES With no zombies in sight, the highly anticipated 5th season of ‘The Walking Dead’ held its premiere at Universal City Walk. Stars of the show attending the premiere included Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Steven Yeun & Melissa McBride. The popular show premieres on October 12th. Designer Michael Kors held a celebration for the launch of Claiborne Swanson Frank's ‘Young Hollywood’ portrait book and some of its subjects were on hand. Kiernan Shipka wowed in a floral-print mini dress while Hailee Steinfeld turned heads in a white lace, Michael Kors’ dress. Not to be out done, Emmy Rossum had the sultry vixen look down with the help of a plunging chiffon frock & tiered ruffle skirt. Also attending the event, Julianne Hough, Zoe Kravitz, Alison Brie & Aubrey Plaza. LONDON ‘Dracula Untold’, a new take on an old tale held its London movie premiere. Dracula himself, Luke Evans was on hand along with co-stars Sarah Gadon and Charles Dance. Also in London, Lindsay Lohan arrived for the opening of her new play, ‘Speed The Plow’, an anti-Hollywood satire. A subject Lindsay may know little something about. PARIS Selena Gomez wore a shiny-black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline as she came out for what is considered THE party of the season for the launch of CR Fashion Book’s fifth issue, which concluded Paris Fashion Week. Not to be undone in the ample department, Kim Kardashian stunned in a Givenchy pantsuit. Also sending flashbulbs popping were Paris Hilton, Emma Miller and Kendall Jenner. LOS ANGELES The comedy-drama, ‘Men, Women & Children’ held its Los Angeles premiere with stars Adam Sandler & Jennifer Garner on hand for the screening. Co-stars Dennis Haysbert, Rosemarie DeWitt, Dean Norris and Kaitlyn Dever also attended. After the premiere, the stars took time out to sign autographs for a few lucky fans. NEW YORK 3,000 miles away, the documentary, ‘Nas: Time Is Illmatic’ held its New York premiere. Nas made an appearance at the screening along with Busta Rhymes, LaLa Anthony & Treach. ‘Gone Girl’ star Ben Affleck stopped by CBS but first gave a young fan a thrill by snapping a pic with the future Batman and then took time out to sign autographs before leaving.
