Militant arrest foils terror attack plan in UP

Lucknow, March 28 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Police arrested militants in Lucknow and revealed that the arrested militants had plans to target and destroy crucial places in an armed attack. Inspector general of police of Uttar Pradesh, Amrender Singh Senger, revealed that the arrested militants were targeting to launch an attack using AK-47 and pistols in a crucial location in the state. The Inspector General added that the captured militants, Abdul Waleed and Salim were trained by Taliban in Afghanistan. Police also recovered two AK 47 rifles, three pistols, SIM cards of India and Nepal, Indian identity cards and 900 US dollars. Mar 28, 2014

Gajapati, March 21 (ANI): Following tip offs from rebels under police custody, the police in Gajapati district of Odisha destroyed a Maoist camp and seized a huge cache of arms, ammunitions and explosives. The police initiated a raid in Maoist hideouts in the forests of Salimagochha and Therubadi in Gajapati district after receiving primary information from three female Maoists under custody, Nikita, Anita and Susan who were arrested from a camp on February 28.
