Kolkata, July 24 (ANI): Former UP Assembly speaker Kesari Nath Tripathi on Thursday took oath as the Governor of West Bengal at a function at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata. Tripathi arrived in Kolkata from Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. He was received by state finance and industry minister Amit Mitra and education minister Partha Chatterjee at the Howrah station. Bhopal, June 27 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Former minister was sent to jail over alleged involvement in Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, in which many government employees are under scanner for getting selected through unfair means. Special Task Force (STF) constituted for an investigation into MPPEB scam, or Vyapam scam, detained Laxmikant Sharma, former state technical education minister, for interrogation. STF inspector, Indresh Tripathi, said total 15 people have been sent to judicial custody. India's Congress party had accused leaders of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of being involved in the scam.
