Patna, Feb 08 (ANI): JD (U) and RJD leaders on Sunday met Bihar governor Keshari Nath Tripathi over political crisis facing the state today. The parties appealed the governor to sack Jitan Ram Manjhi as he lacks majority and appoint Nitish Kumar as the new chief minister. Bihar JD (U) President Bashishtha Narayan Singh sai dtaht Manjhi is doing all this on order of BJP. Meanwhile, RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui, who also met state governor, said that the party asked the governor to dissolve the assembly as soon as possible. Feb 8, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 07 (ANI): After Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi proposed the dissolution of Bihar Legislative Assembly, JD (U) legislators sacked Manjhi and elected former chief minister Nitish Kumar as party leader in Assembly. Kumar will soon return as Chief Minister of the state as the JD (U) legislative party elected him as the leader. The meeting was attended by 97 MLAs. After dismissing two ministers from his rival camp, Manjhi had called a meeting of his cabinet and thereafter proposed dissolution of Bihar Assembly. Bihar CM appeals governor to dissolve state assembly

New Delhi, Feb 07 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Saturday appealed Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi for dissolution of the state assembly in wake of the political deadlock in the state. Earlier in the day, Manjhi met his predecessor Nitish Kumar at the latter's residence. This meeting came at a time when speculations are rife that Manjhi will be sacked by the Janata Dal (United), with a view of reinstating Nitish Kumar to the top post. Earlier, Manjhi had sent a recommendation to Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi to sack two state cabinet ministers, Lallan Singh and P. K. Shahi, who are reportedly close to Nitish Kumar and also supporting the removal of Manjhi from his chief ministerial post. Gorakhpur, Jan 18 (ANI): Senior district officials and members of Pollution Department have rushed to Gorakhpur after thousands of fish were found dead in Rapti River. Officials have warned villagers not to take and eat fish as the exact cause of the death is not yet known. There was a mad rush of villagers to catch fish once the news spread. A senior district official, Ranjan Kumar, said they were probing the mysterious death of fish. Dr. Ranjana Tripathi of the pollution department said that the initial findings pointed towards toxicity in the river water.
