New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Union Railway Budget Suresh Prabhu on Thursday presented the Rail Budget for fiscal year 2015-16. Prabhu also laid emphasis on cleanliness of stations and trains for convenient travel facilities to passengers. He also laid stress on PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Clean India’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives. He further said that integrated cleaning will be taken up as a specialized activity. Rail Budget: No big change will be introduced by the NDA govt, says former railway ministry

New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Former Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi on Thursday said that there is a need to strengthen the foundation of railways. He added that no big change will be introduced in the railway budget as today an Indian railway is bankrupt. Former MoS, Railways Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury also expressed similar sentiments. Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will present Rail Budget for fiscal year 2015-16 in the Parliament today. India fully prepared to tackle swine flu, says health ministry

New Delhi/ Ahmedabad, Feb 26 (ANI): Union Minister of State for health, Shripad Naik said that all measures to combat swine flu were in place amid rising cases of H1N1 virus. Health Minister JP Nadda had made a statement in both houses of parliament regarding the swine flu situation in the country. He said that teams were sent to guide and assist state governments on H1N1 virus as per need. Naik said apart from the regular medicines, his ministry was also supervising the usage of traditional medicines. Meanwhile, in bid to prevent swine flu from spreading, Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, prohibiting mass gatherings without prior permission, has been imposed in Ahmedabad city. Swine flu is caused by H1N1 virus. Symptoms for swine flu include high fever, headache, muscle pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach pain and internal and external bleeding. Feb 26, 2015

Singapore, Rajasthan sign water management pact

Jaipur, Feb 26 (ANI): Singapore and Rajasthan signed a joint water management agreement in pink city of Jaipur. Singapore Foreign Minister K Shanmugam and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje were present during the signing between the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) set up by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, and the Public Health Engineering Department of the Government of Rajasthan. The agreements that were signed included water management and governance of waste water treatment, which is expected to help the desert state to achieve a sustainable water management system. Shanmugam said the joint venture would see development not only for Rajasthan but also for Singapore in the long run. Vyapam scam: Madhya Pradesh Governor resigns

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav stepped down from his post after he was named in the multi-crore Vyapam scam in the state. Reportedly, Yadav was asked to resign by the Home Ministry after he was named in a police complaint in connection with the Vyapam scam involving politicians and government officials. He was booked for corruption, misuse of his official position and cheating. The Special Task Force, which is probing the scam, reportedly needs presidential sanction to chargesheet him. The scam involves the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam, which holds the exams for positions like medical officers, constables, teachers and auditors for government departments.
