Ajmer, Sep 02 (ANI): A Haj Committee in Rajasthan organized a vaccination camp and an orientation programme for Muslim pilgrims to guide them on issues concerning the holy rituals at Mecca and Madina. The committee in Ajmer directed the pilgrims to fill up the Haj forms, advised them to keep photocopies of passports and also told them about the significance of the pilgrimage. Blood samples of pilgrims were collected and every kind of medical aid was taken into consideration. The pilgrims were satisfied with the initiative of the Haj Committee. Sep 2, 2014

Jaitley criticizes CBI for raking up old issues, politicos react

New Delhi, Sept 1 (ANI): Finance minister Arun Jaitley has criticized the CBI for resurrecting a disinvestment case that's more than a decade old, saying such actions could damage the country's overall investment climate. The first information report (FIR) in the case against former disinvestment secretary Pradip Baijal and others in the sale of Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel in Udaipur in 2002 has recently been filed. Modi, on his first major foreign visit to Tokyo, after taking up the post as the prime minister of India, arrived on Saturday for a five-day trip aimed at capitalising on a personal affinity with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to bolster security and business ties in the face of an assertive China. Japan wants explicit guarantees from India, which has not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, to limit atomic tests and allow closer inspection of its facilities to ensure that spent fuel is not used to make bombs.
