New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): As a part of the Swachh Bharat Campaign, a walkathon was flagged off by Prime Minster Narendra Modi from Rajpath, in New Delhi on Thursday. Afterwards, PM Modi and other participants of the walkathon walked towards the Vayu Bhavan. Earlier today the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rajpath. Prime Minister Modi today also visited Valmiki Basti where he wielded the broom and interacted with the 'Safai Karamcharis' present there. Cleanliness drive is on in Delhi and other parts of the country. New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi symbolically wielded a broom at Valmiki Basti on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, and reached out to all Indians to make cleanliness a mass movement. He cleared litter at the Basti and interacted with 'Safai Karamcharis'. Modi chose the Valmiki colony in Delhi's heart a place once home to Mahatma Gandhi -- to do the sweeping, in the company of party colleagues and officials.
