British high commissioner to India commemorates queen Elizabeth IIs 63 years on throne

New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): British High Commissioner to India, James Bevan in a lavish celebration, commemorated the 63rd year of monarch Queen Elizabeth II to the throne. The High Commissioner invited important Indian delegates to his residence in New Delhi to not only celebrate Elizabeth’s reign but to mark 200 years of service of the Gorkhas of the Indian Army with the British Army and also 800 years of the Magna Carta that laid foundations for laws in both countries. Bevan added Elizabeth retained a great affection for India and wished Her Majesty many more years in office. Corporate Espionage Case: Delhi court sends two more accused to custodial interrogation

New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): A Delhi court sent two more people, arrested on suspicion of running a scam to steal documents from petroleum ministry to sell to energy consultants and private companies, to custodial interrogation. The two accused, identified as Jitender Nagpal and Vipan Kumar, were arrested by Delhi police on Wednesday for allegedly leaking confidential documents. Delhi court gives interim bail to RK Pachauri till next hearing on March 27

New Delhi, Feb 26 (ANI): Delhi court on Thursday granted interim bail to Rajendra K Pachauri, one of the world's top climate change officials, till next hearing that is to take place on March 27. The court gave the decision keeping in view Pachauri’s health condition. The lawyer in the case, Prashant Mendiratta, said that the condition for the bail as given by the court are – he would banned from approaching his Delhi-based think tank The Energy Resources Institute (TERI) and said he cannot leave the country without permission, will not try to influence the witnesses and will cooperate in the probe whenever needed. 75-year-old Dr Pachauri has been accused of sexual harassment by a 29-year-old researcher with TERI. Singapore, Rajasthan sign water management pact

Jaipur, Feb 26 (ANI): Singapore and Rajasthan signed a joint water management agreement in pink city of Jaipur. Singapore Foreign Minister K Shanmugam and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje were present during the signing between the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) set up by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, and the Public Health Engineering Department of the Government of Rajasthan. The agreements that were signed included water management and governance of waste water treatment, which is expected to help the desert state to achieve a sustainable water management system. Shanmugam said the joint venture would see development not only for Rajasthan but also for Singapore in the long run.
