New Delhi/ Patna, Jan 11 (ANI): Diplomat Devyani Khobragade flew back to New Delhi on Friday after a deal between the US and India in which she was indicted but granted diplomatic immunity from visa fraud charges. Khobragade departed for India, asked to leave US: MEA

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): The foreign ministry on Friday said that Devyani Khobragade, at the centre of the fraud visa row has been transferred to New Delhi from New York. Khobragade has reiterated her innocence on charges filed against her of visa fraud and underpaying her nanny, according to the ministry. The Indian diplomat is flying back to India and will take up her duties at the Ministry of External Affairs, but for now, her children will remain in US. Sri Lankan police has arrested a freelance Indian journalist, Prabhakaran, for clicking pictures of sensitive installations on a tourist visa. He is being questioned in Colombo. The Indian envoy has been informed of the developments.
