New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): BJP Parliamentary meet took place on Tuesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders. The meeting held discussions on varied issues. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the parliamentary party decided that on celebration of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birthday as 'Good Governance Day'. Trying to seize the birthday of Vajpayee, the BJP is leaving to opportunity to further bolster its governance credentials and to bring out the contribution of the non-Congress personalities to the fore, the government has decided to designate former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birthday, on December 25, as national 'Good Governance Day' to be celebrated every year. New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit said that both nuclear-armed neighbours must work on bonding peacefully with each other in a bid to bolster ties, while attending classical musical event in New Delhi. Speaking to a mediapersons at the event, Basit said if both neighbours work on their issues peacefully a solution can be worked out soon, which will enhance future engagements. The guests were also awed by the delicacies served at the event, prepared by Pakistani chefs. Jammu and Kashmir, Dec 09 (ANI): Voters queued up at polling stations as voting for third round of the five-phase assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir began on Monday. People braved the extreme cold weather to come out and cast their vote hoping for a good government in the state who look after the issues facing the region. J and K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and three of his cabinet colleagues are among 144 candidates whose fate will be decided in the third phase of polling in 16 seats spread across Budgam, Pulwama and Baramulla districts. Unprecedented security arrangements have been made as voting is taking place in the shadow of terror attacks from across the border that left at least 21 people dead in the Kashmir. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted saying, "Urging all those voting today, in Phase 3 of the Assembly elections in J and K and Jharkhand, to turnout in record numbers and cast their vote." She added that none of these parties were thinking about the poor and only her party was capable of handling their issues.
