He said that India must find its own solutions to its problems and also added that we must be open to all knowledge. He further said that education is no longer just the privilege of the elite, but a universal right and added that we must usher in an education revolution that becomes a launching pad for the national resurgence. New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): The Delhi government headed by Arvind Kejriwal suspended 3 officials of the Delhi Jal Board and transferred around 800 others in a massive reshuffle aimed at improving efficiency and delivery. Chief water analyst Vinod Kumar, patwari Sunil Kumar and meter reader Atul Prakash were suspended following orders by Kejriwal. Education and PWD Minister Manish Sisodia said that the trio was seeking money to clear use of water for building construction and meter reading, as showed in a TV sting operation. Sisodia said that the cases will be filed against the three officials. The action came after the water distribution board's Chief Executive Officer Debashree Mukherjee was transferred on December 28. Lokpal Bill gets President Pranab Mukherjee's nod

New Delhi, Jan 2 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday signed the much talked-about Lokpal and Lokayuktas Bill, 2013, to create a powerful anti-graft watchdog. The Bill, which was passed by Parliament in the just-concluded winter session, provides for creation of anti-graft ombudsman to investigate corruption charges against public functionaries including Prime Minister, Ministers and Members of Parliament. Among other provisions, the Bill makes it incumbent upon States to make within a year their own law for setting up Lokayuktas on the lines of the Lokpal Bill. The Bill was sent to the President on Tuesday. It will now be notified in the official gazette for it to become an Act. The Act shall be notified by the Law Ministry. Jan 2, 2014
