New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday met Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi over varied range of issues. Gadkari said that Naidu discussed about converting two states road connecting Rayalaseema and Andhra Pradesh to a Highway. He also talked about varied ramnge of issues which include state roads and the condition of the same. Gadkari said that the ministry agreed on the same and the work on it will start soon. Japanese Foreign Minister arrives in India for bilateral talks

New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida arrived in India on Friday on a two-day visit to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations. Kishida is in India to co-chair the 8th India-Japan Strategic Dialogue with his counterpart Sushma Swaraj on Saturday. The two foreign ministers will review all aspects of the bilateral relations between the two countries and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest. Kishida will begin his two-day visit by paying homage to iconic Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial in New Delhi. He is then slated to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Varanasi students prepare a kilometre-long complaint letter for PM Modi

Varanasi, Jan 15 (ANI): A group of students have initiated a campaign to prepare a kilometre-long letter for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, listing the grievances of the people from holy city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. This letter aims to brief Modi about the problems faced by the people of his constituency and also offer solutions to some of the problems raised. So far the letter is 350 to 400 metres long and almost 900 complaints have been mentioned in it by the residents of Varanasi. An organiser, Kushant Srivastav said that the students are visiting various places in the city to get people to pen down their issues. Finance Minister Jaitley holds pre-budget meet with IT sector representatives

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley met representatives of Information Technology (hardware and software) sector ahead of the budget to discuss issues faced by the industry. Jaitley is due to present the BJP-led government's 2015/16 budget and its fiscal deficit target to parliament at the end of February. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Infosys, Vishal Sikka praised Jaitley for making an effort to meet everyone for pre-budget consultations. The budget statement will be preceded by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) policy meeting on February 03, with some speculation that the central bank could lower its key interest rate, which has stayed unchanged at 8 percent since January 2014.
