Election Commission issues notice to Kejriwal over his allegations on Satish Upadhyay

New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): The Election Commission of India has issued a notice against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal with relation to the allegations made by him on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit Chief Satish Upadhyay over power discoms. The Election Commission has asked Kejriwal to explain the matter by January 20, the same day the AAP chief is scheduled to file his nomination for upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The step was taken after Upadhyay had filed a complaint against Kejriwal for making "false, baseless and unverified allegations" against him. Japan Foreign Minister says will invest in India's northeast

New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Japan Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said on Saturday that Japan would invest in building roads and infrastructure in India's northeast. Building infrastructure such as power plants, industries and telecommunication hubs in the northeast would be a major contributor to connect the key region with Southeast Asian countries. Japan has promised to give India $ 35 billion for developmental projects. Kishida arrived in New Delhi on Friday to co-chair the eighth India-Japan Strategic Dialogue with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj. Japanese foreign minister meets PM Modi in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday at the start of a two-day trip aimed at boosting ties between Asia's second and third largest economies. Kishida's trip comes on the heels of the crushing win of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in national polls last month and a visit by Modi to Japan last year. Kishida arrived in New Delhi on Friday to co-chair the eighth India-Japan Strategic Dialogue with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on Saturday.
