New Delhi, Jan 25 (ANI): The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee while addressing the nation on Sunday on the eve of the 66th Republic Day, said that laws should be made by consensus and cautioned the Government against taking the ordinance route. Mukherjee said that enacting laws without discussions “breaches the trust” reposed by people and is not good for democracy. Calling 2014 as a significant year while 2015 as a year of hope, he said that the 21st century is in full grasp of India. The president also wished the citizens for giving a mandate which brought a stable government at the centre. Mukherjee also talked about issues like women safety and said that a nation where women are not safe, cannot develop significantly. Jan 25, 2015
