Paris Bataclan theatre to open this month one year after Isis-inspired shootings killed 90

Rock star Sting has revealed he will be playing at the Bataclan concert venue in Paris, a year after Islamist militants killed 90 people in November 2015. The venue has been trying its best to move forward from tragedy with Jerome Langlet, the Bataclain president, who said: Its the same Bataclan but weve changed everything. We decided to change everything so nothing changes. Change everything so nothing remains of what happened on that day. The venue has reportedly had trouble getting big names to perform, fearful of the emotional weight of the occasion. On the day of the anniversary itself, survivors of the attack and the US rock group Eagles of Death Metal – who were on stage when the massacre began – will attend the unveiling of a plaque in front of the concert hall, according to French rolling news channel BFMTV. Uber argue that all their drivers are in fact self-employed, but workers and some unions dispute this, and say the company is trying to avoid paying out costly benefits. Uber currently has 40,000 drivers working in London. Nov 1, 2016
