Chandrababu Naidu meets Piyush Goyal to discuss power issues

New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday met Power Minister Piyush Goyal to discuss power issues in the state. Goyal said that the Central and State government will work together to resolve power crisis in the state. He added that the NTPC will lend its services to provide supplementary power to Andhra Pradesh.

Venkaiah Naidu flags off Metro services between Mandi House and Central Secretariat

New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday flagged off Metro services between Mandi House and Central Secretariat. The stretch would provide huge relief for commuters who get down at decongesting Rajiv Chowk station. Besides providing a one-point transfer to commuters headed from Central Secretariat for Vaishali and Noida. The 3 km-long underground corridors will have one station in between Janpath and is expected to benefit some 70,000 commuters. With this n0ew line, Mandi House would now be the interchange point for three lines - Noida-Dwarka Sector 21, Central Secretariat-Badarpur and Jahangirpuri-Huda City Centre.

BJP's Nirmala Sitharaman files nomination for RS Polls from Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, June 21 (ANI): Union Minister and BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday filed her nomination papers for Rajya Sabha Polls as a lone candidate from Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, BJP presidents of the state and Telangana K Haribabu and G Kishan Reddy and leaders of TDP and BJP accompanied her as she submitted her papers to the Legislature Secretary. The state will be going to polls next month and last date for filing of nominations is June 23. Sitharaman is currently holding office as the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry.

Bangalore, June 20 (ANI): Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Friday said that the ministry cannot do anything in the Campa Cola society crisis in Mumbai after the Supreme Court's orders. Naidu said that he sympathized with the residents but cannot take anything to save them. He added that the officials are trying if anything can be done to save the residents.
