Kolkata, Dec 20 (ANI): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Saturday said that efforts should be made to bring back people who were converted from Hinduism by greed. Bhagwat, who was addressing a rally in Kolkata, iterated that Hindus were ‘looted’ away by force. He also called the Hindu society to be united in an effort to ‘save the world’ and spoke of a Hindu awakening. Mobile science laboratory proves to be a boon for rural students in Assam

Assam, Dec 15 (ANI): Dahotia Hr. Secondary School in Jorhat is one of the good educational institutes of Assam. However, it lacks modern and state-of-the art science laboratory. Many a times, the students have to sacrifice with the unavailability of practical facilities. Now, the science students have a reason to cheer as they have got a 'laboratory on wheels', a mobile lab inaugurated by state Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on August 15. Mobile lab on wheels is an initiative of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), Assam in collaboration with UNICEF and the Assam State Technology and Environment Society. As on now, two mobile vans in Jorhat and Kamrup will cover the schools in rural areas of Upper Assam. After the success of these mobile labs, more such vehicles will soon be launched to facilitate all schools in rural Assam. Dec 15, 2014

Politicos react over re-conversion of 200 Muslims by RSS in Agra

New Delhi/ Lucknow, Dec 09 (ANI): Politicos on Tuesday react over re-conversion of at least 200 Muslims by RSS in Madhunagar area of Agra. RSS converted the Muslims at a ceremony called 'Purkhon ki ghar vapsi', a mass conversion jointly organized by Dharma Jagran Samanvay Vibhag, an offshoot of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and Bajrang Dal. BJP leader Vinay Katiyar said that the people were once Hindus so there is nothing wrong in the process. NCP leader Tariq Anwar and JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that this is communal works done by RSS in the shadow of the ruling BJP and such activities will continue till PM Narendra Modi is in power. Sushma urges Centre to declare Bhagwad Gita as 'Rashtriya Granth'

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday urged the Centre to declare Bhagwad Gita as 'Rashtriya Granth' or national holy book. Swaraj was attending the celebrations marking 5,151 years of the Bhagwad Gita in Delhi. Swaraj added that she participated in the event not as a minister but like an ordinary person. Sushma also said that PM Narendra Modi had gifted Bhagwad Gita to President Barack Obama during his US visit and indicated the Bhagwad Gita as a national holy book. Dec 7, 2014
