Militants launch attack in J&K, 1 killed

Kathua, March 28 (ANI): Suspected terrorists in army uniform launched a series of attack in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday killing one person and injuring others when they attacked an army camp close to the International Border with Pakistan. The injured are taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Army and police teams have been chasing the militants since 5 am, when the militants allegedly stopped a Mahindra Bolero vehicle on the Jammu-Pathankot highway and fired indiscriminately at the passengers. The militants escaped in the car and surfaced near an army camp in Janglote, where they started firing at army men, police official said. Mar 28, 2014

BSF beefs up security along Bangladesh border in WB ahead of LS polls

Phulbari, March 27 (ANI): Border Security Force (BSF) has beefed up security along Indo-Bangladesh border in North Bengal Frontier region in West Bengal in the wake of upcoming Lok Sabha polls. BSF is keeping a strong vigil over the border lines to preclude any sort of untoward incident. Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF), In-Charge of North Bengal Frontier, SK Sood said that they have heightened the security along Indo-Bangladesh border and are in regular touch with police and security agencies for any information.
