India raises non-immigration visa issue with US

New York, Sept 26 (ANI): India expressed its concern to US over the much sought after H1-B visas and added that they have addressed the economic apprehensions of the latter. Indian IT firms which operate in the United States are angered by restrictions on travel visas for skilled workers. India's Foreign Minister, Salman Khurshid met US secretary of state John Kerry and discussed plethora of bilateral issues ahead of the meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 27 in Washington. He added that both the nations discussed the steps that need to be taken to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan enters the Oscar race after 50 years with Zinda Bhaag

New Delhi, Sep 24(ANI): The Pakistan Film industry has officially entered the Oscar race with 'Zinda Bhaag' for the first time in nearly 50 years in the Foreign Language Film Award category at the 86th Academy Awards. Directed by Pakistani director Farjad Nabi and Indian filmmaker Meenu Gaur, Zinda Bhaag is a Lahore set comedy starring one of India's finest actors Naseeruddin Shah and many Indian technicians. Nairobi attack: Family of 13 year old victim pray for his recovery

New Delhi/ Gujarat, Sep 23 (ANI): Grieved family of a a 13-year-old boy of Indian origin hailing from Gujarat pray for his speedy recovery after he was injured in an attack by Islamist militants at an upscale shopping mall in Nairobi. Islamist militants killed at least 68 people in an attack taking many others as hostages. The al Shabaab group that opposes Kenya's participation in a peacekeeping mission in neighbouring Somalia claimed responsibility for the attack. The Indian Foreign Ministry on Sunday confirmed the death of Indian nationals in the assault in Nairobi. Lalit Patel, uncle of the injured boy, Hrithik, told the reporter in Nadiad town of Gujarat that the 13-year-old boy had fractured his leg while trying to save his life during the attack.
