Edward Snowden and his supporters make case for pardon

Former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden and his supporters made their case for the American whistleblower to be pardoned. Snowden, who lives in Moscow, appeared via video link at a news conference in New York to say he doesnt regret his decision. Supporters of Snowden are calling for his pardon arguing that he performed a public service by uncovering excessive electronic surveillance by the United States intelligence agency. Sep 16, 2016

Ryan Lochte protesters rush his live debut on Dancing with the Stars

Security guards tackled two men who rushed the stage at the live premiere of Dancing With the Stars on 12 September and interrupted US Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochtes performance. Protesters also chanted in the crowd over an incident at the Rio Olympics 2016, after the six-times Olympic gold medal winner was charged by Brazilian police for making a fake robbery report. Disaster struck in September 2015 as two groups of pilgrims collided at a crossroads of two a narrow streets killing at least 2,426 people. There are various factors that affected the stampede including: pilgrims rushing to complete the time-sensitive rituals, heat and exhaustion, masses of people pushing in opposite directions, and confusion of first-timers. This hasnt been the only incident; hundreds of other pilgrims have been killed during the same ceremony in years past but 2015’s disaster was the deadliest at Mina since 1990 when 1,426 people died. This year Saudi Arabia have to step up security after Iran called its organisers incompetent.
