Poonch, June 03 (ANI): Cross-border travel flourished between India and Pakistan after officials of both the nations met after 14 months at the line of control in Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said the number of crossings from Kashmir’s Chakan-da-Bagh transit route had increased and also attributed the rise to meeting of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi. Custodian Cross-Line of Control, Trade and Travel, Chakan-Da-Bagh, Poonch district, Mohammed Bashir, welcomed the step and said meeting of diplomats from both nations enhanced both trade and travel. Indian marine exports cross USD 5 billion mark

Kochi, June 01 (ANI): The export of marine products from India reached an all time high of USD 5 billion during the fiscal year 2013-14. The increase in exports saw a sharp rise from the previous fiscal year's figure of USD 3.5 billion. Exports amounted to 983, 756 metric tonnes. The MPEDA, a statutory body under the central government, is a nodal agency for promotion of export of marine products from India. It is present in all the Maritime Provinces and is responsible for development schemes, aquaculture production apart from export promotion. Police bust militant hideout, recover arms & ammunitions in J&K

Doda, May 30 (ANI): Police busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of explosives, arms and ammunition from a forest area in Jammu and Kashmir, said a senior officer. Superintendent of Police, Mohammad Sharif Chouhan, said it was one of the biggest recoveries in the recent past in Doda district of the state. Acting on a tip-off, police launched combing in the forest area and busted the militant hideout in a natural cave.
