This film also won a National award. Following it, he made ‘Lakshya’ in 2004. He started his acting career with movie ‘Rock on’ in 2008. After this, he acted, produced and wrote the dialogues for the critical and commercial success ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, which also won two National awards. He was last seen in biopic film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ in which he played the protagonist. Recently, he was spotted announcing 59th Filmfare Awards in the capital, where he got candid with us. Dhaka, Dec 18 (ANI): Thousands of Bangladesh’s ruling party Awami League’s supporters marched on the streets in capital Dhaka to protest a fresh transport blockade, called by opposition parties to oppose the upcoming national polls in Bangladesh. The 18-party alliance of opposition parties, led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), had called for 72-hour blockade of roads, railways and waterways across Bangladesh starting from Tuesday. Addressing supporters, leader of the Awami League Party, Mofazzal Hossain, urged them to plead before the masses in order to secure votes in favour of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s party. Dhaka, Dec 17 (ANI): Bangladesh journalist and war veteran, Shahriar Kabir said on Tuesday that the country has set an example for other nations by executing Islamist leader Abdul Quader Mollah for war crimes committed during the 1971 war of independence from Pakistan. The decision to hang Mollah, a senior figure in the Jamaat-e-Islami party, which is a key part of the opposition coalition, drew widespread condemnation from political allies and international human rights groups. But many citizens celebrated the first ever execution of a Bangladesh war criminal, which took place late on December 12 at the Dhaka Central Jail in the capital. Kabir while talking to a reporter in Dhaka said that Mollah’s trial gave a message that the perpetrators of genocide can be tried in any country. Dec 17, 2013
