New Delhi, July 28 (ANI): Union Housing and Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Monday made a surprise visit to the ministry and expressed "displeasure" over the late arrival of officials and poor maintenance of the place. Naidu reached Nirman Bhawan, which houses the urban development ministry without informing and began taking a round of several floors of the buildings and even checking some rooms to get a first hand experience of how government officers are maintained. Venkaiah Naidu hits at Congress over LoP row

Hyderabad, July 27 (ANI): Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Venkaiah Naidu, on Sunday hit out at the Congress party that had accused that the Modi government pressurized the Speaker not to grant Leader of Opposition (LoP) post to it. Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi opined the main opposition party in the house must have at least 10 percent seats for the Leader of Opposition post. Congress has only 44 lawmakers in a 543-member lower house of the parliament. Congress leader Anand Sharma alleged that Attorney General (AG) and Speaker Sumitra Mahajan were working at the behest of the government. House adjourned after ruckus over Maharashtra Sadan incident

New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): The lower house of the Parliament was adjourned after a ruckus was created over the incident that took place in Maharashtra Sadan where a Muslim was force-fed by Shiv Sena MPs reportedly. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that the incident was unfortunate and added that a BJP member in the Parliament came into the well and created a ruckus due to which the house had to be adjourned. Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that no body knows what happened in Maharashtra Sadan and Shiv Sena has already clarified that no such incident has taken place.
