LA Confidential director Curtis Hanson dies aged 71 of natural causes

Oscar winning writer and director Curtis Hanson has died at the age of 71-years-old in his Hollywood hills home in Los Angeles. Hanson, along with Brian Helgeland, won an Oscar in 1997 for best writing for the movie L.A. Confidential and directed films like 8-mile and The River Wild. Sep 21, 2016

JK Rowling tweeted that she is against a re-election for Jeremy Corbyn saying that this isnt bloody funny. Rowling is adverse to the labour party being run by Corbyn as is calling for a leader who will actually do stuff. But she has been battling the comments on her twitter profile, as Corbynites stand up for the Labour leader, saying she doesnt understand the plight of the poor. Opposition supporters celebrate ahead of official presidential results in Gabon

Supporters of Gabon opposition candidate Jean Ping celebrated in the Gabon capital, Liberville, after initial results from the countries presidential election showed him in the lead. Ping claimed victory over current President Ali Bongo, who has also said he expected to emerge victorious. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged both sides to accept the results and EU observers had reportedly said the election was carried out in a way that lacked transparency. Aug 30, 2016
