Scarlett Johansson is a modern-day sex symbol, but the actress is not happy with the way women are labelled if they admit to enjoying sex. The actress feels that women who are open about sex are stigmatised and it is still considered a taboo for women to open up about sex.
"When women talk about enjoying sex, it's almost forbidden," the 32-year-old said in an interview with Cosmopolitan. "Just having a healthy sexual attitude, you are labelled as loose, wild, a slut. You have no morals, and you're seen as some kind of sexual deviant or someone who can't be in a monogamous relationship.
"The minute you talk about enjoying yourself, being curious, that is still taboo," said the actress.
In the interview, the Avengers actress also opened up about her political beliefs and said she wants her daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, to grow up to be politically active.
Johannsson also touched upon First Daughter Ivanka Trump, whom she slammed during an episode of Saturday Night Live, saying she sympathises with US President Donald Trump's daughter.
"I'm not asking her to come out and talk about something she doesn't believe in…I know it's complicated. It's her father. Can you imagine? Maybe she's afraid she'll be abandoned. It's hard to put yourself in somebody's position like that. But how do you move the needle in one direction or the other? Hopefully, she'll make a courageous choice and stand up for what she believes in—whatever that might happen to be."
Johansson had previously blasted Ivanka accusing her to be cowardly and not being vocal about her true beliefs, which are said to be different from those of her dad.
