The makers of television show "Sasural Simar Ka" never cease to amaze its viewers with supernatural tracks, which include spirits, naagin and witches. While daily soaps are known to draw inspiration from Bollywood as well as Hollywood films, the makers of "Sasural Simar Ka" took it to another level by ripping off widely popular fantasy series "Game of Thrones" (GoT) Season 6 teaser for their upcoming episode.
A new promo of "Sasural Simar Ka" features all the characters of the Bharadwaj family, including Simar (Dipika Kakar), Maataji (Jayati Bhatia) and others, placed in niches in the walls of a room.
Ever since "Game Of Thrones" presented the "Hall Of Faces" teaser Feb. 14, 2016, fans of the fantasy show have been eagerly waiting for the series. However, the "Sasural Simar Ka" makers' attempt to pull off a similar gripping scene have failed miserably.
In other news, Sony Entertainment Television is gearing up to launch a new show, "Rani Mahal," which is supposedly the Indian version of "Game of Thrones" and will be produced by Vikas Gupta. Popular TV actors like Sakshi Tanwar of "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain" fame, "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actress Anita Hassanandani, Ankita Lokhande of "Pavitra Rishta" fame, yesteryear Bollywood actress Reena Roy, Yuvraj Thakur and many others have reportedly been roped in to play crucial roles on the show. While Sakshi will reportedly be seen as Daenerys Targaryen, Anita will apparently play the role of Cersei Lannister.
